FMS were approached by a leading international Software company to tender for the provision of facilities management services in their UK offices. The brief was to provide reception, post room and purchasing support functions, to take over the management and payment of existing facilities services suppliers, to implement a system for monitoring and measuring service levels and to establish a helpdesk system with a full time onsite maintenance person.

Setting the foundations

Having successfully tendered for, and won, the contract for the provision of facilities management services, we set about establishing the foundations upon which to build a more efficient and functional facilities team. This involved the retention of existing staff, through a TUPE transfer, as well as the introduction of new positions to provide additional support for building maintenance and office administration / support.

Seamless integration

Our main goal was to provide a smooth integration of FMS staff within the client’s own team. The successful achievement of this objective ensured minimal disruption and created a seamless transition for both internal and external clients alike. Our capability to manage and pay suppliers on behalf of our client, coupled with the economies of scale offered by utilising our own supplier base, has provided opportunities for operational efficiency and cost reduction for our client, saving them money and time.
