FMS celebrates its 25th birthday this week.
The Company started work at its first customer site, a rather unloved factory in Slough, very early on a Saturday morning on 29th April 1995.
Initially delivering Facilities Management services as the name suggests, we evolved to include design, project management and fit out work too.
This enabled us to offer a complete solution to our clients, a true one stop shop, providing all building related services and consolidated invoicing to the client.
From that first day in Slough, we extended our service delivery initially to other customer locations in the UK and eventually to over 20 different cities in the EMEA region. Where our customers needed us, we were more than happy to go and to do our very best for them.
We are immensely proud to have reached this milestone and of the services we have provided and the projects that we have completed.
We would not have made it without a really talented and committed team of individuals. I am taking this opportunity to say a massive thankyou to everyone, past and present, who has worked for the company throughout the last 25 years.
And or course to our customers too, for having the faith in us to entrust their properties and their projects to FMS to manage on their behalf.
From that very first day we have been there to support our customers. To quote a line from the Ghostbusters movie that made me smile: ‘24 hours a day, 7 days a week, no job too big, no fee too big’
We are in very uncertain and challenging times right now. So we will keep the champagne on ice, saving this for a more appropriate time and wish everyone well.
